Hey everyone, Just got off the phone with Sam and he said that today about 12:30 they removed his button from his throat. This button was the step down from the trac and now that the button is out it should take 1 to 3 days for the hole to heal. This was really good news. Also Sam rode a bike for 55 minutes which was about 10 miles! Well, he didn't actually ride a bike. They put a wheel at the bottom of his wheel chair, strap his feet in pedals, and use electrodes to power the wheel. I believe it's the motion of pedaling that is beneficial. His therapists were surprised that he rode it for as long as he did. Great day to start off a week. Also thank you to everyone that came out this weekend to help with the music room. So much work was accomplished! Thanks everybody.

Just for everyone to know the Sam sightings on the streets of ATL have been approved.The escape attempt was not a complete success.We managed to get passed the retnal scans with out a promblem from the help of bouncing Betty the juice lady.The motion lasers were a lil' more difficult but Sam has superb mobility in the chair with me on the back.We had a van that they showed Sam how to use earlier that day waiting out side with my get away drivr Big Gipp.We made it through the three security check points without a promblem using several meal carts and a exsplosive distraction in the mess hall.Sorry chefs about the exsplosive sloppy joe pot but we had to do it.Almost clear for a night on the town and then to Playa De Carmen.But there was one thing we over looked.The suction cart.Almost to the van and one more door we would have been home free.Open the door and Tiffany was right there.Sam said play it cool and follow my lead.Tiffany said are you checked of for the cart.I replied "of course".She said "we'll if I check the computer for your name it will be on there". "of course I replied'.Sam jumped in and saved the day by explaining that we were just in the gym.She let us go on our way .We really took that for granted because when we made it to the van Big Gipp waved us on.Almost in the van,Tifanny had the swat team out there waiting for us.I told her "you won this round" but "I'll be back".

How funny! I can just see the sneakiness & hear the James Bond theme music in the background. My, my...what men of mystery & espionage. Come to think of it...you guys with high tech tools & gadgets somewhat alarms me.

Dustin, glad you got the juice lady on board but sounds like you need an accomplice to handle the SEALS (Shepard Escape & Activities of Lasciviousity Squad) maybe someone else on the inside?-or an expert in art of distraction? ahem, if I may humbly offer my services? my moniker from the psyco-ed center is Mcgyver plus I'm quite a charmer-I've developed this stuff you spray..I can not divulge anymore details publicly but Mission ATL would be a piece a cake. only takes a call..speaking of digits, Bobby-need your new ones. tried to call -had to drive myself to the Supper Club Thurs--right thru the low pressure zone to see mofro. Adam was kinda looking like Elvis but his B3 still stirs the middle (or is it the lower?)of your gut.
Sam, I'm still thinking bout you when I'm not thinking about myself. did PA tell you I got a thank you note from Kevin Fowler? She said his mamma did a good job of raising him if he sends thank you notes to his 'groupies.
