Sunday, November19th
What's up guys. Sorry I didn't post yesterday but we had a really good time. Sam played poker in PT and won. We watched Auburn win and Sam roamed the halls hanging out with a lot of the friends that he's met up here. Mom came up and with Lan picked us all up lunch at Ted's Restaurant. Sam got to munch on some chili cheese fries. After Mom left, Mailman and Tiffany showed up and we had a really good time hanging out with them. Uncle Brooks and cousin Jennings dropped in with special brownies for Sam. While Jennings and Uncle Brooks were here we got R2D2 out and as usual he was giving us all a hard time (we might just keep him locked up in the closet like a gimp if he doesn't get his attitude together). Chrissy, a good friend of all of ours that we haven't seen in a while came by yesterday and we all hung out. George Bateman also came in Saturday night. Dad came up last night for some training and that was about all. Today we got to Shepherds and couldn't find Sam. He was out and about making the rounds. It's been Lan, Bateman, Chrissy, Sam and myself hanging out today and Lan and Bateman have gone to get groceries to fire up the grill today. We're having fun and we'll talk to you guys soon. George

SAM - HEY, ITS JULIE AGAIN! GUESS WHAT?! REG IS HERE WITH ME IN PARIS. WE TALKED TO SIS (MOTHER) TODAY, SHE'S EXCITED ABOUT SPENDING THANKSGIVING WITH EVERYBODY. I UNDERSTAND SHE'S BRINGING CAKES - COCONUT AND CARMEL.
LOVE TO ALL,
JULIE AND REG
Sam3,
Hey man. Grandin Eakle here. Sounds like you will be owning the Shepherd center pretty soon. It also sounds like you are working hard on passes out into the world outside Shepherd. I will just say this. When I got out and about on my first extended "walk about" I came to realize pretty quickly that the world ain't flat. If you are in your manual chair take a good "pusher". Still hoping to get to Atlanta and drop in to see you. Maybe the week after Thanksgiving. It sounds like you are never lacking for buddies to hang out withh. The only thing I can offer that they can't is having been there. Let me know if you ever need to talk or ask questions about what it's been like since I left Shepherd. (really pretty good). God bless and talk to you later.
Grandin
Hey Sammy!
You know, you probably don't even remember me, but hopefully you remember the time you whacked Brock Cadenhead in the cabbage with your thermos at Greenfield. That event singularly changed my life. I can't even tell you how many people I've assaulted with a thermos since then. The ones with glass on the inside give the added bonus of a "crash" along with the "thud". Good times...good times. Very glad to hear of your awesome recovery. Keep up the good work! I know some ladies who'd probably help you with your "mat work". Let me know when you're ready, pal.
Ma-halo,
Josh Blankenship
p.s.--George, we should sip on some beverages sometime so I can drop you out my window again. Ah the good ol' days...
heyyy Sammmyyy-
gogo is so proud of you!wowwowowowow!!!
Man, letting even one day slip by not getting to check the blog* (I just love that word*- maybe I'll get Gillian to name her first born.. never mind) and the progress you have made is jawdropping (o)-: (made that one up just for you-don't know if somebody else made it up before me though).
You are (and I think you already know and maybe tried to convey this but we had no idea of the degree or extent of )awesome. I am a believer and apologize if I have not bowed and groveled more when I was in your prescence.
Humbly submitted,
gogo
PS did Gillian ever get that present to you??
Hey Sambo,
Checking on you from George's house. The "cave" has been painted. Headed back to Macon today to get my girls - Khaki and Pepper that is.
You just don't know HOW excited George is about your progress. I got a call from him Friday night, from his car, so excited he couldn't stop to catch his breath telling me about you. It puts a smile on all of our faces to hear it.
Glad to hear about "the ladies"... Keep it up grasshopper. You are on the path of enlightenment. Wax on, wax off.
Hope to get up there this week sometime, gonna do the family Thanksgiving thing this weekend. Alexis, Jamie, and Steve are coming down on Friday night. Turkey on Saturday, ten pounds heavier by Sunday! UUmmm turkey...

Sam,
Sorry its been a while, but things have been pretty hectic around here with school and everything. Glad to hear you're doing so well. We're going to try and come see you soon, I promise.
Jordan had a gig at Rhino's this past Friday with Brent, Jason, and John. Also, Dean, from Skydog, played on a few songs with them. Talk about frickin' amazing! I think there might be a video of it somewhere on the net.
anyway, we love you, and miss you lots.
Love,
Janis
Hello Sam,
Somethings never change! Socializing with anyone and everyone which is such an exceptional trait. You have that innate ability to befriend even the most unapproachable of people & not many have that talent.I sometimes feel a little guilty when I miss the opportunity to check this site or post a comment...but then I remember what awesome friends & family you have. You already have everything you need! Also, you were never known for your fears, but for your heart & quick wit...let alone your laughter & kindness. It was great to reconnect, even if for a brief moment. Maybe one day we'll cross paths again; who knows!!! Take care Sam & I expect to continue hearing great things from you in the future. Best of luck! Happy Turkey Day...gobble-gobble!
Love, polly
Sam,
Just gonna drop you a few.I guess you realize after I come and see you I don't post for a few days.Yeah,I'm keeping the computer out of this as much as possible.I just got off the pfone with George and he said the Ctudio was coming along nice.He also was really amazed with the role you have taken in The Center.I'm just as proud of you as everyone else.Taking the bull by the horns and doing what with it? Yeah, like that! You have heard that one before I presume.
It's funny that J.B. brought up that can of lunch room matter in his post.I had forgotten all about that.Maybe we should call up B.C. and ask him how well that cranium picks up a.m. radio now.lol.
Well I can't wait to get down there but I have to wait til' next week.I'm working triples the rest of this week to get that chedda before it slows down and I will really have some time for some R&R.I'll hook you up with some more Varsity too.
Let me get off this crumbpoota(as Wade calls it) and I'll see ya soon.
Just Touching Base,
D
P.S.Find Robert Langdon
Happy Thanksgiving Eve!
Hope your week is going good.
Us? Well, we 'll just be sittin in this cornfield, as usual, waiting for the Great One to appear- all night again if neccessary. It seems he always shows up right when I doze off and Gillian goes around all year taunting me 'nananananana- I got to see the Great Turkey & you missed it' I hate that!! She thinks she'e like this pilgrim/indian princess or something and he only appears for her- I didn't even know he existed until she learned about it in kindergarten. Enough of my whining....
Talked to Perry Ann and she was bragging on the leadership role you have naturally assumed at Shepard and that you have cast some kind of spell on everyone there. Only reason she figured it out is that her husband was asking why she was spending so muchtime at the Center as she was supposed to be the national marketing somethingorother and she was not state trotting as much as usual. She then realized that some force kept drawing her back to the second floor to scratch you head. Yep, you're gettin your power back and it appears to have stengthened while you were kinda dormant. Thats ma boy- Sounds like you have evolved into a evenmore super-er hero! -So,,,just wondering... will you be getting a new costume? I know you have questioned the driving force behind your role and it mostly boiled down to your love of wearing stretchy pants, But, maybe you'll discover other inate & less selfless motives for your character's motivation in harnassing those powers to battle evil.
gottago,
gogo

TO my Samuel Sumner Singer III- Hi sugar! I talked to your brother a few days ago, and he praised your progress. I'm very pleased to hear your doing so well. I gave George my # and he said he would get it to you. I'll be in ATL in a few weeks and will be by to see you then. I miss you and love you to death. Come home soon.

SAM,
Guess what time it is?MILLER TIME.I saw Trucker Steve last night and he wanted me to tell you that he is still rockin your socks off!!!He met me and Lawren in Clemson last night coming back from North Cackalacky delivering a truck load of mault beverages to Louisiana. It was a patrony night of course. It started with a bottle of anyejo that some one brought me back from mexico and ended with Number B-5 on the juke box."My special little lady at the waffle house".The first and the middle part was amazing. But I'm not going to do something because what happens at the end.Are you going to eat that apple? No, eventually it will become a core.People tell me not to use liquor as a crutch.I don't because a crutch helps me walk.He wanted me to let you know he is thinking about you and since your wheeling and dealing on the phone now give him a call.I also heard the good news about Turkey Day outside the camp.Good for you.I know your ready to tear up some sweet pot. souf. and some desserts too.You will probably get more sugar intake than the day I was up there an all you ate was cookies and pie.MMMMMMMM cookies and pie.I'm glad to here you are getting out for the day and don't forget to set watch like I told you.You remember were the LZ is don't you.I'll meet you when that guys eating a hamburger.
Have A good 1,
D
