Hey you guys, just figured I'd let you know what's been going on up here in the ATL. Lan and I got up here last night and couldn't find Sam when we got to his room. We should've known he was out and about hanging with some friends. When we got him back to his room I gave him a good shave b/c he was beginning to look like that picture that was posted when he was in ICU looking like a hobo. Anyways he got a good shave but I did leave him with some chops.
Today we've been hanging out having a really good time. Mom came up and we did some IC training. Also Uncle Brooks and Jennings came by and brought us a Xmas gift and Sam some clean clothes. Uncle Lewis and Susie came by too and hung some Xmas lights in Sam's room (they look really good). I'm not sure if I told you guys but Sam was recently a hand model. His OT has to speak at some national conference and she's been impressed with what Sam has been able to do with his hands even without movement. This week they're going to photograph his shoulder blades b/c apparently they look really good for someone with his type of injury. He is very excited about the party on the 23rd at our place. I hope all of you guys can make it. I'll post more with details but Sam would like for everyone to dress up. (Sorry Mailman... but just think we'll finally be able to all get together and celebrate your birthday too.) I'll talk to you soon.

Hey Sam, So happy to see how great you are doing and that your spirts are so high. We cant wait to see you when you come home on the 23. We were planning on coming to see you but,,,The day after thanksgiving Josh was on his way to work at 5am. and he got into another car accident. He is fine but my car isn't. It is still in the shop and wont be out until the 15. My car has over ten thousand dollars worth of damage to it. Needless to say we are without transportation right now. And I have already told him that he cant drive my car again unless he takes classes.(ha-ha).But thats what happens when you end up hitting another car and then in a ditch. Hello to Sam & all,
It's wonderful to read of your continued progress & amazing spirit. I know you can't wait to see everyone at the Christmas party; good idea to have them dress up! It'll do them good. I wish I could be there, but due to my work schedule I can't make it home for that weekend. We're having to celebrate & exchange gifts with my family this weekend. Dad's a little disappointed, especially since his recent heart surgery. He's doing great & is back to his old grumpy self.
Who would have ever thought that you'd have the opportunity to do some modeling.
I hope your Christmas holidays are filled with joy & beer...I mean cheer. (Must have been a Freudian slip...oopps). Hopefully you've been a very good boy this year & Santa Claus will bring all that you have asked for. Here's wishing you a very Merry Christmas plus a great & adventurous New Year.
