I couldn't be in Atlanta today. The report is from Gran and Susan. First big thing is the foam neck collar is gone. Sam III's surgery has healed and he no longer needs it. Next, Sam can scratch (not yet pick) his nose with each hand. PT and OT both today. Sam has also scheduled a recreation therapy visit to the bookstore next Tuesday. I expect to be in Atlanta tomorrow and will try to have a few more details on the next post. Keep praying and send comments!

please tell me how the meeting with ken , the pastor went... I LOVE YOU AND I BELIEVE IN GOD MORE THAN ANYTHING IN THE WORLD. I WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT I AM BEHIND YOU ALL THE WAY...BECAUSE I KNOW HOW YOU USED TO FEEL AND I PRAY THAT KEN CAN ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS THAT YOU HAVE
YOUR OTHER BROTHER MATT
Sam, great news about getting the brace off!!! I know that you've been waiting to get that thing off. I'm also very happy to hear that you're scratching on your own... (now I won't have to do it when you ask me... Just kidding... I'd scratch you anytime.) Sounds like great progress. Keep up the good work. I'm meeting with Brad, Larry, and Rachel tonight and will get the details on the silent auction at the Loft on the 25th so I'll make a post tomorrow about it. Everyone please be sure to come. Even if you don't buy anything at the auction, Brad is donating everything that goes through the registers to Sam's recovery fund. So come have some drinks and enjoy a good time. See you this weekend Sam, Love you very much.
Sam3,
I know you are sooooooo happy to be rid of the neck brace. To those of us reading the blogs it is amazing the pace of your progress. To me it is maybe a bit less amazing because I know what the Occupational and Physical "terrorists" expect from you. It is all for your good and because they care deeply about you and your progress. Who are your terrorists? (first names only)
I will try my best to go to the auction at the Loft. I can tell you have deep friendships there. Me to... (more we have in common.)
Well enough for now. Keep on keepin' on.
Your friend,
Grandin
Samo, It's good to hear the brace is no more. I bet you want scratch your damn neck too . Like Mith Hedburg said, "It's like being strangled by a really weak guy." I love you brother, and i'm happy the progress continues. Keep it up you beautiful bastard.

Hi Sam,
Good to hear about more positive progress & the removal of the neck brace. It sounds like you had a wonderful weekend filled with visitors.I'm sure the joy was mutual.Sorry I haven't posted in a few days but I had my 1st fender bender this past Sunday.(I guess 32yrs isn't a bad run?!) Some guy backed into my car with his huge 4x4 truck. It's amazing the damage a trailer hitch will do.Buckled front hood, cracked bumper, head light gone, etc;talk about a headache too. This is more aggrivation than I want to deal with. What am I paying my insurance agent for?Sorry, I know I shouldn't gripe & complain, but I've got to have it fixed by the 30th so I can leave for a conference in Orlando.I know I shouldn't sweat the small stuff, but I do tend to be a tad bit obsessive about some things.
Anyway, please take care & know that I'm praying for you & your family.Like I said before...you're going to be an inspiration to many.Keep up the remarkable work & put your trust in the Lord.
Love, Polly

Hey Lan and George,
take care....love y'all
Hey Samo!
Glad to hear progress is coming back at the fast pace you began with. Booger picking is an art not to be deterred by anything. Keep on with the good news.
I passed my real estate exam today!! Guess that means that I have to actually work again; at least for a little while! I'm working on my next excuse. Any ideas would be appreciated.
I will definitely be back in C-town for the event of the year at the Loft. I support any cause that encourages me to imbibe!!!!!
Also, just to let everyone know - It will cost you $191.75 to drink a beverage outside of a bar in downtown Columbus - even in a cup! I found out the hard way this past weekend, with the express intent of helping out my friends by setting the example of what not to do. Go figure. Stupid Monkey.
Still smiling,
Bob
